It has been, now more than ever, that the Democratic Party is been held hostage by the African American block of voters. The current primary election in uncertain terms, has warned that if by some chance Senator Clinton receives the nomination, there will be hell to be paid from the Black electorate. Even Senator Obama has been put on notice that it would be in his best interest to agree with the “powers that be” in the African American community. When the initial controversy regarding his pastor relationship he was advised at that time that it would not be prudent or politically expedient for him to rebuke his spiritual leader. Hindsight in regular life is 20/20, but in pursuit of the Presidency of the United States, it must be magnified tenfold, regardless of any particular position taken from the unnecessary pressures from without. Had Obama chose to handle the Wright issue with a decisive and conclusive response, not to appease others, I believe the issue would have receded... Contrary to the recent developments which festered and raise more suspicions as to his motives for the belated address, opening the questions presented with respect to the endurance and continued relationship with a person who harbored such zealous opinions.

In a F.Y.I. commercial spot on the BET network Roland Martian, a frequent guest on CNN and syndicated talk radio host for the black audiences around the nation, pressed his influential opinions as to the the results would be if Sen. Obama does not receive the Democratic Parties nomination. He was about as blunt as to say that that would be a miscarriage of justice, and would be unacceptable to the African communities.

He is not alone in his instance that this will be done, despite that, choosing the possible next President amounts to more then a token towards reparations. All the experience, judgment, fortitude, and leadership are the total sum which requires time to attain. Sen. Obama’s (1) year of service as a U.S. Senator, may be the beginning of the making of an Executive Officer but hardly the culmination of one.
